A private company owns a portfolio of warehouses. Its latest audited accounts show net assets of £2.4 million. One of its three directors wishes to buy one of the warehouses from the company for £180,000. An independent surveyor has valued the warehouse at £180,000, which the surveyor confirms is full market value. At the board meeting the director declared his interest in the proposed purchase and the other two directors approved the sale unanimously.
Which of the following best describes what, if anything, is further required?
Your turn: choose the answer you would give.
The key and all four distractors come with a rationale and the authority behind it — statute, case or SRA rule — plus a one-screen rule card.
Drill any of the 13 subjects down to a single subtopic of the SRA specification, filtered by task type, difficulty and ethics.
Eleven full timed mocks, each sat in two sessions like the real exam and drawn from thousands of reviewed questions. Each ends in a report by subject, task type and pace.
Wrong answers return for review after one day and again after three, and count as fixed only once you get a related question right as well.
Turn a question's rule card — or anything you write — into a flashcard. Spaced repetition brings each one back just before you would forget it.
Highlight the facts that matter, cross out options you've ruled out, and look up any term — in your own language if you like. Your marks stay with you.
Accuracy by subject, subtopic and task type, your pace per question, a confidence matrix that separates knowing from guessing, and an estimate of your result.
Give us your sitting date and weekly hours. Each week moves you through the syllabus, and each day brings a fresh list — this week's subjects, mistakes and flashcards due.
Every FLK1 question and mock, across two sittings.
Every FLK2 question and mock, across two sittings.
Candidates sitting FLK1 and FLK2 — what they came for, and what kept them coming back day after day.
Mark up the facts, strike out what you've ruled out, look up a term, then keep the rule on a flashcard until it's yours.
A firm holds £60,000 of client money for four months. Its terms promise 3% interest, but the solicitor agreed £150 by phone and nothing was put in writing.
Forgotten cards come back in minutes, known ones in days — scheduled from how well you knew each.
Tell us your exam date, which FLK you are sitting and how many hours a week you have.
A short diagnostic across your FLK subjects shows where you are starting from.
Mistakes and flashcards due for review, a set on your weakest subtopics, and a mock when it is time for one.
Two timed sessions, then a report by subject, task type, pace and position in the session.
SQE1 is the first stage of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination: two assessments of functioning legal knowledge, FLK1 and FLK2, made up of single best answer multiple-choice questions set in a client scenario. Both have to be passed before you move on to SQE2.
FLK1 covers Business Law and Practice, Dispute Resolution, Legal Services, Contract Law, Tort and the Legal System. FLK2 covers Wills and the Administration of Estates, Trusts Law, Land Law, Property Law and Practice, Criminal Liability, Criminal Law and Practice, and Solicitors Accounts, which is examined alongside both FLK2 sessions.
From the January 2027 sitting each FLK assessment runs as two sessions of 85 questions, 153 minutes per session, with the subjects in each session set in advance. Our mocks are assembled session by session to match that shape, so a practice mock feels like the day itself.
Yes. Every account gets free warm-up sets for FLK1 and for FLK2 — real questions with the full explanation behind every option — and no card is needed to start. Warm-ups are capped at two sets per paper; unlimited practice needs an access pass.
It is one payment, not a subscription, and nothing renews by itself. You can buy a pass for a single paper or for both FLK1 and FLK2, and the current prices are shown in the pricing section of this page.
