Playtech‘s GPAS (Gaming Platform as a Service) Team is looking for a resilient and attentive ProdOps Engineer with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Description

Your influential mission. You will..

  • Participate in release management flow, including application setup, updates, and configuration changes.
  • Handle production problems and incidents.
  • Process requests and issues from internal and external customers.
  • Manage production system monitoring, including alerting and dashboards.
  • Ensure services meet their Service Level Objectives (SLOs).

Qualifications

Components for success. You...

  • Have 2+ years of experience in L2 production application support, network engineering, operational support, system administration, site reliability engineering, DevOps engineering, or similar roles.
  • Demonstrate good troubleshooting and investigation skills.
  • Understand monitoring principles, alerting, and performance and healthiness metrics.
  • Have good Linux knowledge and hands-on experience.
  • Understand network communications and protocols, such as HTTP(S), TCP/IP, and WebSocket.
  • Have hands-on experience with visualization tools such as Kibana and Grafana.
  • Have experience using CI/CD tools and processes, such as Git and Jenkins.
  • Have an intermediate level of English proficiency.

  • Holding a university degree in technical fields such as Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related disciplines.
  • Possessing certifications in technologies and tools like Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, monitoring solutions, Amazon Cloud, or networking (e.g., CCNA).
  • Experience with the Prometheus monitoring system.
  • Experience with Ansible.
  • Knowledge of F5 and Nginx load balancers.
  • CouchbaseDB and NoSQL support experience.
  • Experience with Terraform usage.

GPAS (Gaming Platform as a Service) Team
This role is part of the GPAS team at Playtech which is instrumental for ensuring high availability and fault tolerance of services in production, setting up and managing monitoring systems, handling production problems and incidents, participating in release management, processing customer requests, and automating processes. Our team is comprised of DevOps and ProdOps engineers tasked with meeting service level objectives (SLOs), deploying services, managing configuration playbooks, and striving for rapid issue resolution. Our work ensures the robustness and reliability of the gaming platform, which hosts over 700 games and processes nearly a billion transactions daily.
